For now my issue is the early game and how poorly balanced it is (in regards to the skill tree). I have no idea how this strategy will hold up for the lategame, but that's a later problem to solve. On the second and third Blood Moon I have a third checkpoint and better equipment. They usually break the first door, but the waves end before they break the second one. I put up two "checkpoints" with a door each, and some vantage point above where I can shoot the zombies while they bash the doors (I also have a few pipebombs or molotovs which helps a lot). The only way I've been able to survive is to go 2 points into Advanced Engineering for some stronger doors and concrete. Now the issue I have is that there seems to be no way to survive as a solo player without Advanced Engineering, forcing me to put my points into Intelligence every single time.

Building efficient AI-breaking builds is not something I like to do in these types of games, if I can't build something that looks like a reasonable irl zombie defence then it's a poorly made game.

I'm currently on Warrior difficulty, which seems to be fairly well balanced so far.īefore I continue I'd like to clarify that I'm a roleplayer at heart. I've tried a few different maps with a few different character builds, up to the third week. I bought the game a few weeks ago and feel at least a little bit warmer in my shoes now.
